John Slone

John Edward Slone, age 75, of Columbia City, passed away June 2, 2024, at his home. John was born in McDowell, Kentucky on January 3, 1949, to the late Walker and Virginia (Caudill) Slone. He graduated from McDowell High School in 1967. He married Kathleen Smith on June 27, 1974, in Grundy, Virginia. John was employed for many years with Dalton Foundry in Warsaw.

Wife, Kathleen Slone of Columbia City.
Granddaughter, Brooklyn Slone of Columbia City.
Granddaughter, Parker Hale of Warsaw.
Sister, Brenda and Daniel Reece of Elkhart.
Brother, Maynard Hall of Warsaw.
Brother, Eugine and Karen Slone of Warsaw.
Brother, Jimmy and Erin Slone of Elkhart.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Walker and Virginia Slone; his daughter, Megan Leigh Slone on October 31, 2022; and a brother, Douglas Slone.

There will be a gathering of family and friends to celebrate John's life on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Lucerne Park on Pike Lake in Warsaw.
