John F. Sullivan, Sr. 77 of Fort Wayne went to be with his Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, August 11, 2024. John was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana and graduated from Central Catholic High School. John served in the Army National Guard for 6 years. John was a full time Realtor for 55 years, retiring from RE/Max Results. John served on countless committees throughout his career including Professional Standards and as a Board Arbitrator. John served as President of the Fort Wayne Board of Realtors. John was inducted into the UPSTAR Hall of Fame and RE/Max Hall of Fame. John also served on the Allen County Redevelopment Commission for two terms. Along the way he sold a few houses… John attended Pathway Community Church. John was an avid golfer and was a Member of Pine Valley Country Club for many years. John was an avid IU and Notre Dame fan. John’s greatest joy was his 5 children, grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
John is survived by his wife of 26 years, Jaymi; children, Jill Hite (Fred), John Sullivan, Jr. (Cheryl) Amy Johnson (Ryan), Elizabeth Palmer and Hayli Beck (Scott). Grandchildren, Katie Schooley (Jake), Emily Whitlock (Kyle), Gray Hite, Maggie Sullivan, Ryan Johnson, Pete Sullivan, Jack Hite, Sam Sullivan, Marie Johnson, Morgan Palmer, Joe Sullivan, Jude Johnson, Claire and June Beck. Great Grandchild, Oliver Schooley. John's siblings include MaryLou (Jay) Irick, Frank Sullivan, Steve (Kathleen) Sullivan, Kathy Miner and Kris (Joe) Rumschlag.
John was preceded in death by his parents William and Katherine (Burns) Sullivan and his brother Bill Sullivan.
A memorial service will be held at Pathway Community Church, 1010 Carroll Road with visitation on Friday, August 16th, from 2-7pm and 10am-12pm on Saturday, August 17th. Service will be held at Noon on Saturday.
