Jon Jay Tarney

Jon Jay Tarney, age 61, of LaGrange, died Monday, November 19, 2018 at his residence near Stroh in LaGrange County, Indiana.  Jon was born in Kendallville, Indiana on July 21, 1957 to the late Warren E. Tarney, Jr. and Margaret Joan (Eshelman) Tarney Ewing. He graduated from East Noble High School in 1975 and married Jill Lana Reidenbach on February 14, 1981 at Faith United Methodist Church in Kendallville. Jon was employed for more than 25 years with Graphic Packaging in Kendallville and he was a life member of the National Rifle Association.

Wife, Jill Tarney of LaGrange.
Daughter, Ashley Tarney of Flemington, Georgia.
Daughter, Aislinn Tarney of Sturgis, Michigan.
Son, Sean Tarney of LaGrange.
Daughter, Alyse Tarney of LaGrange.
Son, Isaac Tarney of LaGrange.
Step daughter, Andrea Sibert of Kendallville.
Step son, Luke Sibert of Indianapolis.
Grandson, Charles A. Wyche of Georgia.
Sister, Jill and Steve Tagtmeyer of Gulf Shores, Alabama.
Niece, Dani Tagtmeyer of Gulf Shores.
Brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gregg and Dianne Reidenbach of Fort Wayne.
He was preceded in death by his father, Warren in 1993 and his mother, Margaret in 2009; sister-in-law, Jann (Reidenbach) DeRose in 2018; and father and mother-in-law, Ted and Jessie Reidenbach.

Visitation will be held Friday, November 23, 2018 from 1:00 – 4:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville.
Funeral services will also be held Friday at 4:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Hamm officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to the Stroh Volunteer Fire Department.
