Karen (Marks) Norden

Karen Sue Norden, age 66, of Kendallville, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at her residence.  Mrs. Norden was born on September 13, 1956 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to James I. Marks, Sr. and Evelyn M. (Biesiada) Marks.  Karen was previously a member and spent her grade school years at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne.  In 1974, she graduated from Heritage High School in Fort Wayne.  On August 1, 2008, she married David A. Norden in LaGrange, Indiana.  For nearly 20 years, she worked with her father at Mark’s Garden Shop in Fort Wayne.  Then for 22 years, she worked diligently for the United States Postal Service as a clerk.  Karen enjoyed spending her time boating, riding jet skis, finding deals at garage sales, and indulging in Mexican food.  She loved her grandchildren, enjoyed watching their ball games, and baking desserts for them.  Karen was an animal enthusiast and enjoyed cats and dogs.  She was a family-oriented woman and loved all the precious quality time spent with her loved ones.  

Survivors include:
Spouse, David Norden of Kendallville.
Daughter, Jennifer Motz of Auburn.
Daughter, Amanda (Thomas) Standers of Greencastle, Indiana.
Daughter, Melissa (Michael) Scott of Avon, Indiana.
Son, Nathaniel (Karis) Norden of Columbia City, Indiana.
11 grandchildren, Jennifer, Allison, and Kelly Scott, Miranda, Riley, and Alayna Motz, Elijah and Abigail Standers, Luc, Beau, and Paul Norden.  

Karen was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jason Potts; siblings, Jim Marks Jr. and Rick Marks.  

There are no services scheduled at this time and cremation will take place.
