Karma Kay (Gustin) Gottfried

Karma Kay Gottfried slipped peacefully into the arms of her savior Sunday, June 13, 2021, at Parkview Hospice, surrounded by her family. Born August 6, 1946, in Woodburn, IN to Norton and Thelma (Stanton) Gustin, she leaves behind her husband, business partner and best friend of 56 years, Timothy Gottfried, three daughters, Bethany (Paul “PT”) Schram, Amanda Toerne, and Genevieve (Vladimir) Dzeletovic, two grandchildren, Geoffrey “Colin” Burroughs and Emma Toerne, a brother, Stanley Gustin, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, and half a dozen grandpups. Karma spent most of her working life running restaurants along with her husband and other family members in Grabill, Garrett, Waterloo and Harlan Indiana. She loved her family, gardening, antiques, the daily crossword and jigsaw puzzles. She was also quite fond of a good murder mystery. There will be a private interment ceremony at Scipio Cemetery with a celebration of life later in the summer, the details of which have yet to be decided. Karma believed deeply in the mission of Thru The Bible Radio Ministries and the family would be delighted if anyone would like to make a donation in her memory to help carry on their good works.
