Keith Coil

Keith Alfred Coil, age 85, died Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Ashton Creek in Fort Wayne. Mr. Coil was born in Swan Township, near LaOtto, Indiana on October 16, 1932 to the late Albert Alfonza Coil and Fern Winifred (Warner) Coil.  He graduated from Kendallville High School in 1950 and entered into the United States Army in 1953. He honorably served his country until 1955 as a sergeant during the Korean War.  He married Bonnie Louise Shultz on July 23, 1955 at First Christian Church in Kendallville, Indiana. Bonnie preceded him in death February 11, 2017.  Keith was employed with Zollner Piston in Fort Wayne for 32 years before retiring in 1990. He continued working and spent the next nine years working for the Allen County Fair as grounds superintendent. He finally retired for good in 1999 and took up calling Bingo for many years at the Golden Coral.

Survivors include:
Daughter, Tammy and Jaye Marshall of Wasilla, Alaska.
Son, Ernie Coil of Huntertown.
Nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Brother, Jesse Coil of Crawfordsville.
Twin brother, Harry Malcolm Coil of Fort Wayne.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Lee Hampton and brothers, John Coil and Warner Albert Coil.

Visitation will be Monday, August 13, 2018 from 3:00 – 7:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville. There will also be visitation one hour prior to the funeral service.
Funeral services will take place Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Hite Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Farmer officiating.
Burial with military honors will take place at Highland Park in Fort Wayne.
Memorial donations may be made to First Christian Church.
