Kenneth Raymond Kline, age 89, a lifetime Kendallville resident, passed away at his home on Sunday, June 9, 2024. Kenny was born in Kendallville, Indiana, on February 10, 1935, to the late Alfred and Mildred (Coffelt) Kline. He was employed early on with the railroad and Flint & Walling. Since 1975, Kenny was a well-known, self-employed electrical and refrigeration repairman in the Kendallville for many years. He married Kay Ann Friskney on May 24, 1958, in South Milford, Indiana. Kay preceded him in death in 1980 at a young age.
Kenny was a loving father to his three boys and eleven grandchildren. He enjoyed spending holidays with everyone and welcomed any occasion to get together with family and friends. He was extremely proud of the accomplishments of his grandchildren, was an avid IU basketball fan and a good friend to those who needed a friend.
Kenny was a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church. He loved homemade ice cream and pies. He had many small hobbies including raising blueberry bushes, playing the guitar, and tinkering with things so that he could fix them later. You could always hear him whistling while he fixed and worked on things, and of course, if he accidentally pocket dialed your phone number, you were greeted by his whistles. He will be greatly missed.
