Kent Douglas Harding, age 64, of Kendallville, passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at Bryron Wellness Community in Fort Wayne. Kent was born in Kendallville, Indiana on October 26, 1959, to the late Warren G. Harding and Mary Kathryn (Shultz) Schlotterback. He graduated from East Noble High School in 1978. He was employed with PHD in Fort Wayne and Flint & Walling in Kendallville before retiring in 2015. Kent was a member of the Free & Accepted Masons, Lodge #276, in Kendallville where he was Past Master. In his younger years, Kent raced stock cars locally and enjoyed driving his 1969 Camero.
Survivors include:
Sister, Vickie and Todd Fiandt of Garrett.
Brother, Terry and JoAnn Harding of Fort Wayne.
Half-sister, Becky and Eric Hall of Fort Wayne.
Sister-in-law, Gwen Harding of Avilla.
Stepmother, Jan Harding of New Haven.
Stepbrother, Rich and Chris Pankop of New Haven.
Stepbrother, Jeff Pankop of Tennessee.
Stepsister, Ann and Bob Brooks of Milford.
Stepsister, Joan and Leonard Kline of Syracuse.
Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Kent was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ronald Harding.
Visitation will be held Monday, September 30, 2024, from 4:00 - 6:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville followed by a Masonic service at 6:00 PM.
Memorial donations may be made to Kendallville Masonic Lodge #276 or to Mid America Windmill Museum.
