Kim I. Miller, age 66, died Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Parkview Noble Hospital in Kendallville.  Kim was born in Kendallville, Indiana on November 10, 1951 to the late Harold Compton Miller and Rosemary (Hanks) Miller. He graduated from East Noble High School in 1970 and entered into the United States Marine Corps where he honorably served his country from 1970-1972 during the Vietnam War.  On June 2, 1973, he was married to Sherley Barbara Wicker at Faith United Methodist Church in Kendallville. Kim was an entrepreneur and he began Miller Development, Inc., an industrial property development company, in the late 1970’s. In 1988, along with his brother, Scott, he started American Rebuilders in Kendallville, and co-owned until his retirement in December of 2016. Kim was a member of the American Legion Post 381, Rome City. 

Survivors include:
Wife, Sherley of Sylvan Lake, Rome City.
Daughter, Jaime and Mike Carroll of LaOtto.
Son, Ty and Molly Miller of Fort Wayne.
Daughter, Taylor Miller of Fort Wayne.
Seven grandchildren: Garner Owens, Grant Owens, Marissa Carroll, Mira Carroll, Abrey Miller, Madyn Miller, and Elliot Miller. 
Brother, Hal and Robyn Miller of Kendallville.
Brother, Scott and Lori Miller of Kendallville.
Sister, Dawn and Steve McCreery of Rome City.
Sister, Pam and Bob Tuffley of Big Long Lake.
Sister, Jan Coleman of Kendallville.
Kim was also preceded in death by his step mother, Patricia Louise Miller.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 2, 2018 from 3:00 – 8:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home, Kendallville.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Hite Funeral Home with visitation an hour prior to the funeral service. Steve McCreery will lead the funeral service.
Burial with military honors will take place at Orange Cemetery near Rome City. The Veterans Honor Guard and active duty Marine Corps troops will conduct the honors. Active casketbearers will be Ty Miller, Hal Miller, Scott Miller, Steve McCreery, Mike Carroll, Grant Owens, and Garner Owens. Honorary bearers are Heath McCreery, Christopher McCreery, Cory Miller, Dwight Miller, Gabe Jones, and Andrew Leonhardt. 
Memorial donations may be made to Families for Freedom or The Wounded Warrior Project.
