Larry Davidson Obituary

Larry Davidson, age 75, a 24 year resident of Whitley County, Indiana passed away in his sleep on August 9, 2025 following a long illness.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Kay L (Stanley) Davidson who he married in Nashville, TN on August 4, 1995.  Surviving are stepsons; James (Edith Clark) Jackson, Joshua (Carrie Logan) Jackson and Jon Jackson and grandchildren: Eric Jackson, Jesslyn Jackson, Allysen Jackson, Jade Jackson, Justin Jackson, Juliahana Jackson and Tanner Jackson.
Also surviving are his sister Deborah (Clifford) Davidson May and nephews Jason May and Jeffrey (Tiana) May. Mr. Davidson also had a daughter from a previous marriage, Amy, and grandchildren..

He graduated from Alliance High School in 1967.  Before serving in the United States Air Force during the Viet Nam Era, Mr Davidson was a baritone sax musician with the Dick Whittington Revue in northeast Ohio.  He never lost his love of music. In later years he was a member of the North Manchester Civic Band. His heart and soul was dedicated to good music, good friends and making people happy.

After his military service he attended Kent State University and Indiana Institute of Technology and graduated magna cum laude, business administration/Human Resources.  Following graduation he was an executive recruiter for many years for the automotive industry

Until his health prevented his participation,  Mr. Davidson helped his wife, Kay, make soap, lotion and weave rugs that they sold at the Columbia City Farmer’s Market. He was always friendly, helpful and loved by those who came to the Market.

 Mr. Davidson was preceded in death by his father, Hugh J. Davidson who was born in Garrettsville, OH and passed on February 17, 1977; his mother Bernice M (Moore) Davidson who was born in Beloit, OH and passed on April 1, 2015; and his grandson, Jonathan C. Jackson who was born on March 30, 1999 and died November 10, 2021.

Mr. Davidson will be laid to rest at the Marion National Cemetery in Marion, Indiana.

He was deeply loved by his family and those who came to know his kind, gentle and generous heart. He is with Our Lord now and deeply missed.
