Larry J. McComb, 82 of Auburn, IN, passed away December 13, 2020, following a brief battle with cancer. Larry was born in Fort Wayne, IN on March 6, 1938 to the late Wayne and Madge McComb. He graduated from New Haven High School in 1956, where he was a basketball standout. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy for four years. In 1975 he was installed as Worshipful Master of South Gate Lodge 731, F&AM. He also served as Vice President of the Indiana Chapter of the Electrical Apparatus Service Association. Larry was co-owner of Wagner Electric, Fort Wayne, where he retired after 40 years of service. He loved lake life, fishing, snowmobiling, traveling and telling his stories of yesteryear. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix!
He is survived by his wife Greta of 40 years. Daughter, Denise Kelley of Fort Wayne, Granddaughter, Amanda (Nathan) Fox, and great grandchildren, Elliott and Emma Fox, Fort Wayne.
Stepchildren, Ramona (Alan) Silk, Barrington, RI. Bill (Liz) Morken, Indianapolis, IN. Andy (Kim) Morken, Fort Wayne, IN. Ten step-grandchildren and three step-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Dale McComb, step-son, Lou Morken and brothers Ronnie, David and Michael McComb.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the American Legion Post 47, 601 Reed Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46815.
