I fished with Lee several years ago when we were members of the Clearwater Bassmasters. I remember Lee as a very kind and caring person that loved life. I had not seen Lee in several years, but always considered him a great friend. I am very sad to hear of his sudden passing. His memory will always be with me and he will be missed. May God bless his family and friends. I am a better person for having known Lee. RIP my friend.

My deepest condolences to the Pilz family. I remember Lee being a toddler in diapers when his dad Don was LaGrange County Sheriff, I worked part time at the courthouse for a couple of years and we would see Lee around the courthouse lawn. As a parent who has also buried a child, my heart goes out to Anne for the grief that she will endure for months to come. Yes, it gets more bearable, but never any easier. A parent should never have to bury a child - it is not the natural order of things. My prayers are with Lee's wife and daughters as well, may God give you strength to endure.

Thinking of all of lee's family and friends...my memories of Lee are from a long time ago. When summer lasted forever and we lived in our bathing suits. Playing baseball and spending whole days building forts in the woods. Growing up at the lake without a care in the world. Even as a kid Lee would mow putting greens on his lawn. Reliving memories of Lee with a heavy heart....

May Lee rest in peace. Words cannot express the feelings and sorrow I have and especially for Anne, Rigel, Melissa and his three beautiful daughters. Lee was a childhood friend of mine. Growing up on Oliver Lake in the summers was very special for me and it was because of Lee. I cherished every moment being there of which Lee was a BIG part of! All the fun we had as kids, fishing, swimming in the channel, playing Army at night to of course the baseball games in the spare lot are memories that are still fresh in my mind. The memories of me being a White Sox fan to Lee being a Cub fan! The fun times as kids Lee and I would play CHiPs with our police helmets on riding our bikes around the circle. Oliver Lake was and still is a very special place. And it was those times with Lee that made it so. I was very blessed to have had Lee in my life early on.

Melissa, I am more sorry than I can express...I know that you and Lee love your sweet girls so much, I am sure that these days ahead will be especially hard on them. You are a strong and wonderful mother and can help them through this terrible time. Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you and your sweet family. We love you always as our sweet little Missy. Love to you from Aunt Jean, Anita, Beckie, me and Kevin and our kids, Audrey and Casey.
