Leoralina “Lee” (Shafer) Muncie, age 81, of Fort Wayne, went to be with her Lord and Savior in heaven to join that great cloud of witnesses on October 29, 2023. Mrs. Muncie was born in Auburn, Indiana on May 16, 1942 to the late Weldon John Shafer and Leora Evalyn (Knight) Shafer. She graduated from Butler High School and Elkhart University of Dental Technique and attended Great Lakes Bible College. Lee was a prayer warrior and member of Harvest Fellowship in Fort Wayne. She was outreach chairwoman and vice president with Aglow, which ministered to women in jail and prison and in their after care. In her later years, she was called to a new ministry, Wings of a Dove, sharing the love and peace of God in nursing homes, hospitals and to shut ins. Lee worked at GTE for 26 years before retiring in 1991. She loved collecting dolls and giraffes.
Survivors include:
Husband, Gary Muncie of Fort Wayne.
Son, Anthony Lynn Moore of San Diego, California.
Stepdaughter, Tammy Debacher of Fort Wayne.
Seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Brother, Sheldon Shafer of Louisville, Kentucky.
There will be a gathering of family and friends on Saturday, December 9, 2023 from 1:00-2:00 PM at Harvest Fellowship, 1001 West Wallen Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM officiated by Pastor Paul Mowry. After the memorial service, everyone is invited to Devine Encounter Café for sandwiches at the corner of Coliseum Blvd and Parnell Avenue.
