Marie Wells Obituary

Ethel Marie Wells, age 76, of Albion, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2025, at Kendallville Healthcare Center. Marie was born in Kankakee, Illinois, on August 1, 1948, to the late Lloyd and Evelyn (Fuller) Dubea. She married Robert Nelson Wells on March 11, 1966, in Ligonier, Indiana. She was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. Marie loved spending time with her grand and great greatgrandchildren, gambling at the casinos, visits to the mountains of Tennessee at her daughter's home. 

Survivors include:
Husband of 59 years, Bob Wells of Albion.
Daughter, Cathy and Floyd Hughes of Harriman, Tennessee. 
Son, Glen Wells of Fort Wayne.
8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Brother, Mike and Pat Dubea of Henley, North Carolina.
Brother, Jimmy Dubea of Virginia.
Sister, Cindy and Jimmy Windborne of Virginia.
Brother, Terry and Lisa Dubea of Warsaw.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Evelyn Dubea; son, Bobbie Wells in 1999; and three sisters, Sue Bradley, Sally Frye, and Lynn Dubea.   

Visitation and funeral services will both be held Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM.
Burial will follow at Christian Chapel Cemetery, Merriam. Pastor Bret Frymier will conduct the services.
