Mary Magdalene Pfeiffer, aged 92, of Kendallville, Indiana, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2025. Born in Jefferson Township, Noble County, Indiana on November 22, 1932, Mary lived a full and vibrant life, marked by her love of family, faith, and the simple joys of everyday moments.
Mary was known for her joyful and vibrant spirit that could light up any room. She found great happiness in golf cart rides, the coziness of campfires, and the tranquility of camping trips. Alongside her late husband, Al, Mary embraced their shared love of traveling the country in their camper as proud members of the Jayco Jaybirds. They treasured the thrill of exploring new destinations, meeting friends along the way, and spending winters basking in the warmth of Texas. Together, they also enjoyed square dancing across the country whenever the opportunity arose.
Above all, Mary cherished her faith in Jesus and the community she found in her beloved church and church family at Mercy Tree Ministries.
For the past five years, Mary lived with her grandson Josh Pfeiffer and his wife Bobbi, who brought her immense joy and comfort in her later years. Mary also treasured her time with family, her best friend Kathy Peacock, her dog Stryker and the many memories made while living with her grandchildren.
Mary is survived by her three stepchildren, nine grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren, who will carry forward her legacy of love, laughter, and faith.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 27, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Hite Funeral Home, 403 S. Main Street in Kendallville, followed with a funeral service at 12:00 PM. Her grandson, Josh Pfeiffer will conduct the funeral service. Burial will follow the service at Sweet Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor a remarkable woman who brought light and love to so many.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Mercy Tree Ministries, reflecting Mary’s lifelong values of faith, kindness, and generosity.
