Michael Frederick Newhall, age 72, of Kendallville, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at his home in Kendallville.  Mr. Newhall was born in Watsonville, California on December 21, 1946 to the late Melvin and Margaret Lucille (Washburn) Newhall.  In 1966, he entered into the United Stated Army where he honorably served his country during the Vietnam War. Cpl. Newhall was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal with 4 Bronze Stars; the National Defense Service Medal; Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal; the Bronze Star Medal with “V” Device; and he was an Expert Rifleman. He was honorably discharged from the Army in 1969.  Michael was a plumber by trade and worked in the construction business for many years.

Son, Brian and Lisa Newhall of Kendallville.
Son, James Newhall of Kendallville.
8 grandchildren.
Brother, Larry Newhall of Filer, Idaho.
Brother, Gary Newhall of Campbell, California.
Sister, Robin Zoch of Penn Valley, California.

There will be a gathering of family and friends on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home with military honors at 3:00 PM.
