Phyllis (Burt) Jarke

Phyllis Jean Jarke, age 89, passed peacefully in her home on February 25, 2022, surrounded by her daughter, granddaughter, and her loving dogs. Mrs. Jarke was born October 4, 1931 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Wallace Burt Sr. and Ruth (Hofflick) Burt. She was married to Frank Jarke on May 4, 1957 for 49 years. Frank passed away May 19, 2012.  Phyllis was a homemaker and she volunteered for several years at Dunlap Memorial Hospital, of Orrville, Ohio. Her main passion was making special memories with her children, nieces and nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. 

Survivors include her daughter, Susan (Jarke) and Matt Thompson. 
Her grandchildren: T.J. Missler, Matt Missler - Married to Megan (Whetzel) Missler; Meghann (Missler) Kadner - Married to Jonathan Kadner: Kayti (Jarke) Kramer - Married to Andrew Kramer; Annie (Jarke) Morrissette - Married to Matt Morrissette; and Molly Jarke – with Branden Maxwell.
Her great grandchildren: Maddie and Adren Morrissette, Hunter and Alicen Kadner, and Clinton and Baby Boy Missler (baby due in June). 
Siblings, Wallace Burt Jr., deceased; Shirley (Burt) Pettit, deceased; Ronald Burt; and Ruth (Burt) Hoesman. 
Additional family members include Tom and Coleen Missler and Cheryl Jarke.
Her beloved dogs, Stella and Cleo and her cats, Dolly and Binks. 
She was also preceded in death by her son, Burt Jarke; niece, Caroline Kornelakis; and great-grandnephew, Jared Postance. 

The family will gather together later this summer to remember Phyllis, celebrate her life and plant a tree in her memory. Memorial donations may be sent to a charity you are passionate about.
