Randy Dodson

Randy Joe Dodson, age 63, of Albion, died September 3, 2023 at Parkview Noble Hospital in Kendallville surrounded by his family. Randy was born in Goshen, Indiana to Carl Dodson and Sona (Poff) Whalen. He married Tammy Frain in 1979 in Kendallville and she preceded him in 2016. 

Survivors include:
Daughter, Tonya and Alex Jacobs of Kendallville. 
Daughter, Sona Spriggs of Waterloo.
Daughter, Angela and Aaron Blowers of Kendallville.
Seven grandchildren: Trevor Miller of Albion; Shalana Erne of Auburn; Breana Campbell of Garrett; Sierra Blowers of White Pigeon, Michigan; Dalton Miller of Kendallville; Darcy Miller of Indianapolis; Tresa Balentine of Kendallville.
Six great grandchildren: Jackson Miller, Harper Miller, Ivory Miller, Maddox Miller, Ozzy Napier, and Daria Webb. 
Brother, Robert Allen Dodson of Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Brother, Douglas Dodson of Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Brother, Sterling Bastin.
Brother, Rick Hasslett.
Sister, Sheryl Deffenbaugh of Centerville, Michigan.
Sister, Sharon Gieber of Centerville, Michigan.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Tammy (Frain) Dodson; his father and step mother, Carl and Phyllis Dodson; his mother and step father, Sona and Larry Whalen; and sister Kim Ramer; and his grandparents, Tom and Helen Kennedy and Claude and Esther Dodson. 

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 7, 2023 at 11:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville. Pastor Robert Bolen will officiate the funeral service. Burial will take place at a later date at Orange Cemetery.
