Richard P. Miller, 89, of Kendallville, IN, passed away on Monday, August 18, 2025. Richard was born on March 13, 1936, in Fort Wayne, IN, to the late Eleanora (Smith) Sapp and the late Calvin Miller, Sr. In June 1967, he married Phyllis Hatfield in Fort Wayne, IN; she survives. Richard dedicated 46 years of service to Pepsi-Cola, working in the Maintenance Department. He was an animal lover, leaving behind a cherished pet and close companion, Kona, a black lab. Richard was also an avid fisherman, placing fishing at the top of his list of favorite hobbies. He also enjoyed watching professional WWE/WWF wrestling.
In addition to his wife, Phyllis, of 59 years, Richard is survived by:
Daughter, Connie (John, Sr.) McKay of Winnsboro, LA;
Son, Richard P. (Pamela) Miller, Jr. of Kendallville, IN;
Son, Terry G. (Dawn) White of Kendallville, IN;
Son, Roy (Anita) White of Philadelphia, TN;
Daughter, Jennifer (Bryan) Clouse of LaOtto, IN.
More than 90 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
A visitation is scheduled for Monday, August 25, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Hite Funeral Home, 403 S. Main St., Kendallville, IN. A funeral service will immediately follow visitation at 4:00 p.m. at Hite Funeral Home. The service will be officiated by Pastor Kurt Horstmeyer. Burial will be at Swan Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be given to the Humane Society of Noble County.
