Robert Dunn

Robert Emerson Dunn Sr., age 87, passed peacefully surrounded by family, on May 21, 2023 in Garrett, Indiana. Born August 8, 1935 in Gloucester, New Jersey to the late Henry James Dunn Sr. and the late Ann C. Dunn (nee Laux). Loving father of Robert Dunn, Jr., Debra Asher (Steve), Sharon Maley (Matt) and Paul Dunn. Grandfather of Michael Asher (Emily), Eryn Bain, Cynthia Asher, Erica Asher, Zachary Maley, Jesse Maley (Anna), Andrew Asher, Matthew Asher, Mariah Maley and Aiden Asher. Great Grandfather of Louis Maley and Theodore Maley. Beloved brother of the late James J. Dunn, Sr. and Henry Dunn, Jr. Preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and son Paul Dunn.

Robert was a graduate of Gloucester Catholic High School class of 1953. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army. He was a loving father. He enjoyed his time with his brother Jim and their daily trips to Dunkin Donuts. Robert was an avid musician, playing in the Bonsal Blues Band, Haddonfield Community Band, and several others. He owned his own music store for a time. He was also an avid Mopar lover and enjoyed working on cars with his son, Robert. 

Friends and relatives are invited to visitation Friday, June 9th from 9:00 to 9:45AM at St. Joachim Parish, 601 West Browning Rd, Bellmawr, NJ 08031. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10AM in the church. Interment will follow in New St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr.
