Sharon DeWitt Obituary

Our family is deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved mother Sharon Dewitt. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. A woman whose beauty, grace, and spirit touched everyone who knew her. Sharon passed away May 1, 2026, at the home of her daughter, Kim, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was born in Kokomo, Indiana, on June 22, 1932, to the late Donald Corwin Aaron and Florence Magdeline Teresa (Hess) Aaron.

She was truly beautiful inside and out, carrying herself with a timeless elegance that made her unforgettable. Always perfectly put together from head to toe, she brought class and style into everything she did. Beyond her outward beauty, it was her kind heart, warmth, and love that defined her most.

She had a passion for painting and found joy in expressing herself through her art. Each piece she created reflected her creativity and the gentle soul she shared with the world.

Though she is no longer with us, her legacy of love, grace, and beauty will never fade.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Don Aaron and Florence Aaron and husband, Jack DeWitt.

Sharon is survived by her bothers, Jim Aaron (Linda) and Jack Aaron (Phyllis) and her four children, Mike Knake (Sherry), Doug Knake (Diane), Kimberly Sumwalt (Jeff) and Scott Knake (Paula) as well as seven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.
