Shirley Mae Moore, age 74, of Kendallville, passed away at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne on Monday, February 10, 2025. Shirley was born in Ashland, Kentucky to the late Leonard and Betty (Love) Click on February 10, 1951. On January 6, 1968, she married the father of her two children, Rick Purdy, in Waterloo, Indiana. She later went on to marry Jay Moore on July 6, 1996, at Hogback Lake in Angola. He preceded her in death on July 6, 2019. She worked at Magnavox and the Heimach Center in Auburn. Shirley enjoyed her casino trips, especially the Triple 7 game, shopping and playing Bingo with her friends.
Survivors include:
Son, Scott and Melinda Purdy of Fort Wayne.
Daughter, Sharmin and Dan Swogger of Wolcottville.
Grandsons, Andrew Purdy, Matthew Purdy, Christopher Boles, Blake Swogger and Landon Swogger.
Great grandson, Silas Swogger.
Lifelong best friend, Pam Mack of Butler.
Her most beloved dog, Bentley.
Several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband, Jay Moore, a brother, William Click and Father of her children, Rick Purdy.
Per Shirley’s request there will not be any local services, but the family will have a graveside service at a later date in Catlettsburg, Kentucky.
