Stacey (Swartwood) Swedzinski

Stacey Lynne (Swartwood) Swedzinski, age 56, passed away Friday morning May 24, 2024 at 9:36 am in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was born on May 11, 1968, in Shakopee, Minnesota, to Darrell and Mavis Swartwood.

Stacey graduated from Shakopee High School and subsequently married Roger Swedzinski, with whom she shared thirty-six years of marriage. They were not only spouses but best friends who loved each other deeply.

Stacey is survived by her husband, Roger Swedzinski and her daughters, Rachel Swedzinski, Lindsey (Michael) Glover, and Chloe (Frankie) Binkiewicz; her parents, Darrell and Mavis Swartwood; her two sisters, Shelley (Scott) Heintzeman, and Amy (Peter) Goshgarian; and her five grandchildren, Kaden, Tiana, Emmelynne, Alaiiavina, and Hudson.

Stacey's devout love for her personal Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, radiated from her whole being and profoundly influenced every walk of her life. Her impact was evident in the lives of all who encountered her, leaving them enriched and strengthened in their faith. She was an active member of her home church, Headwaters (formerly Wallen Baptist Church), for 33 years. Stacey and her husband Roger led worship at their church for 11 years, with her skillful piano playing being a dynamic part of their ministry. A cherished family tradition was the annual Thanksgiving gathering where Stacey led worship around the piano, glorifying Jesus.

Stacey loved worshipping Jesus by playing the piano and singing, traveling with her beloved husband Roger, going on trips with her family, walking and going on adventures with friends, and spending time loving on her grandkids.
