Stanley Nowak Obituary
Stanley Grant Nowak, 67, of Albion, IN, passed away on June 1, 2025, at his residence. Stanley was born on September 16, 1957, to the late Benny S. and Jessie Mae Agnes (Howell) Nowak in Chicago, Illinois. He leaves behind two children and five grandchildren.
Stanley had an entrepreneurial spirit, owning and managing several businesses. He was a true salesman at heart. Stanley loved to keep busy playing golf at Noble Hawk, which was one of his favorite places. He also loved watching NASCAR, eating pizza, and keeping up with his favorite teams -- Notre Dame, the Bears, White Sox, and Bulls. Stanley even enjoyed supporting local teams; as his children were growing up, he would often sponsor and donate to their teams. Stanley also loved animals, often rescuing and caring for them. He loved music and enjoyed attending concerts. But his five grandchildren were at the center of his world, catching his attention and certainly earning his love and affection. Stanley was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Stanley is survived by:
Daughter, Amanda (Keith Koscak) Nowak of Lake Orion, Michigan.
Son, Benjamin (Samantha Wert) Nowak of Kendallville, Indiana.
Grandchildren: Calvin Rossman, Isabella Wert, Griffin Koscak, Rylee Nowak, and Lorelei Nowak.
Sister, Judy (Gene) Czerwinski of Dyer, Indiana.
Niece, Loretta Smith of Lowell, Indiana.
Great-Niece, Lauren Smith of Lowell, Indiana.
Great-Nephew, Clark Smith of Lowell, Indiana.
Mother of his children, Donna.
Stanley was preceded in death by:
Both parents; a nephew, Eugene Czerwinski, Jr.; and "Granny" Bess Robinson, who cared for Stanley as a child and whom he loved like a grandmother.
Visitation will take place at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville, Indiana, on Saturday, June 21, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
Preferred memorials can be made to the family for expenses.
