Thomas Edward Miller, age 88, died on June 8, 2026, at Twin City Healthcare in Gas City, Indiana. Tom was born near Hudson, in Dekalb County, Indiana, on May 17, 1938, to the late Cecil Carl Miller and Bessie Alice (Perkins) Miller. Tom served his country in the National Guard, and he was employed by General Electric in Fort Wayne. He attended Pleasant Chapel Church of the Brethren near Ashley in the past. Tom was a handyman and "Jack-Of-All-Trades". He enjoyed hunting and fishing, woodworking, radio-controlled airplanes, and working on cars.
Survivors include:
Son, Thomas Edward Miller, Jr. of Garrett.
Daughter, Tina Lou Neeley of Garrett.
Five grandchildren: Shawn Miller, Alex Miller, Ben Miller, Pam Miller, and Jordan Edsill.
Brother, Paul and Peggy Miller of Waterloo.
Sister, Judy and Larry Harter of Gas City.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Bessie Miller; son, Max Allen Miller; granddaughter, Lori Miller; son-in-law, Chris Neeley; brothers, Wayne Miller, Joseph Miller, Russell Miller, Gene Miller, and David Miller; and sisters, Marjorie Mitchell, Barbara Miller, and Jane Shibler.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 15, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville with visitation at 10:00 AM prior to the service. Pastor Valarie Kline from Pleasant Chapel Church will officiate the funeral service. Burial will follow at Fairfield Center Cemetery in Dekalb County.
