Tony Jerome Kolbe, 84, of Kendallville and Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away Friday, December 27, 2024, at Coventry Meadows in Fort Wayne. Tony was born in Garrett, Indiana, on May 29, 1940, to the late Hurshel J. Kolbe and Evelyn (DeWitt) Kolbe. He married Sondra Jean Musser on October 6, 1962, in Garrett, Indiana. She preceded him in death in March 2020. He honorably served his country in the United States Army National Guard and was a member of the American Legion and Eagles Lodge both in Kendallville. He was employed by International Harvester for 26 years. Tony's interests and hobbies included his dogs, Beauty and Prince, Indiana basketball, sports, boats and cars, and admiration of a well manicured yard.
Tony is survived by: Son, Kris (Stephanie) Kolbe of Hendersonville, Tennessee. Daughter, Kim (Freddie) Diaz of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Five grandchildren: Maddie Kolbe of Charleston, South Carolina, Sophie Kolbe and TJ (Thomas) Kolbe of Hendersonville, Tennessee, Lilia Diaz and Emilia Diaz of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Sister, Connie (Robert) Menzie of Auburn, Indiana. Brother, Tim (Sue) Kolbe of Bradenton, Florida.
A private service will be held at Highland Park Cemetery in Fort Wayne.
