Christi Elena Ornelas, age 18 years, of LaGrange, passed away on Saturday November 26, 2016 at her residence.  Christi was born in LaGrange, Indiana on November 12, 1998, the daughter of Hector Ornelas and Elizabeth (Bontrager) Salisbury. She loved playing tennis, music, playing the piano and trumpet and singing. She was a member of the Lakeland High School jazz band and concert band and competed in vocals, piano and trumpet in ISSMA. She was a member of the National Honor Society and academic team. Christi loved being a teenager and hanging out with her friends and boyfriend, Caleb. She was currently working on her senior project which was related to the Riley Children's Hospital Fund.

Her parents, Elizabeth and Dan Salisbury of LaGrange.
Sisters, Gaia Salisbury and Lillian Salisbury of LaGrange.
Brother, Julian Bontrager of LaGrange.
Her boyfriend, Caleb Bennett of Wolcottville.
Maternal grandparents, Allen and Fanny Mae Bontrager of Howe.
Grandparents, Martin and Linda Salisbury of Goshen.
Many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.

There will be a Celebration of Christi’s Life on Wednesday, November 30th, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the LaGrange Church of God, 777 North Detroit Street, LaGrange, Indiana. 
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 29th from 3:00 to 8:00 PM at the LaGrange Church of God, LaGrange.  Memorial donations may be made to her family.
