Delores Grimm Treesh peacefully passed away with her family by her side on Friday April 10, 2015 at Presence Sacred Heart Home in Avilla.

She was born May 9, 1930 to Marcile (Snoke) and Jesse Grimm. She grew up to become a nurse for 34 years at McCray Memorial Hospital and married Don Treesh on Oct. 16, 1949.

She displayed the same characteristics as a nurse as she did a mother of four children. She was kind, strong, dependable and nurturing. She always went above and beyond to provide for her family. She was a great listener and wanted the best for her family.

She is survived by her son Doug (Kim) Treesh of Kendallville, daughter Debbie (Jeff) Carter of Indianapolis, daughter Denise (Domenic) Tedeschi of West Palm Beach FL, and son in law Larry (Dianne) Avery of Traverse City, MI, eight grandchildren- Justin Avery of Los Angeles, Kyle Avery of Traverse City, Joshua Treesh, Brock Treesh and Lindsay Treesh all of Kendallville, Kayla Tedeschi West Palm Beach, FL, Nathan and Nicholas Weybright- both of Indianapolis and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Alton Grimm, her husband Don Treesh and her daughter Dianne Avery.

Delores will be remembered for her love of gardening, growing and canning fresh vegetables and working in her yard. She enjoyed putting on her straw hat and mowing her own yard into her 80s. She had endless energy and wore many hats.

She also loved to bake cakes, pies and cookies and rewarded herself by eating Klondike bars, ice cream and drinking Diet Mountain Dew.

There was no gray area with Delores, you always knew where you stood with her. And she stood by her family and enjoyed getting together with all of them every year at the Apple Festival.
