Edith Ann (Stringfellow) Wentworth

EDITH ANN WENTWORTH, age 74, of Albion died on Monday, March 23, 2015 at her rural Albion home.

She was born in Kendallville on May 4, 1940 to George and Jeanette (Graves) Stringfellow.

Mrs. Wentworth graduated from Albion High School in 1958.           

She married Charles Wentworth on July 12, 1958 in Albion.

Mrs. Wentworth worked as a waitress for the V&A Restaurant in Kendallville for 15 years before going to work for Lyall Electic in Kendallville for 27 years.

She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Albion.

She enjoyed geneolgy, cooking and collecting many things especially jewelery.  Mrs. Wentworth liked to make her own clothes and was always dressed to the nines. Edith’s favorite thing was spending time with her family.  Much of her time in life was dedicated to making others feel important and special.

Survivors include:

Her husband; Charles Wentworth of Albion.
Son; Brad and Cozy Wentworth of Albion.
Daughter; Belita and Bruce Terry of Albion.
Two grandchildren; Brandy and Jermiah Miller and Braden Wentworth.
Four great grandchildren; Andrew Miller, Nicholas Miller, Lilly Wentworth and Wesley Wentworth.
Sister; Beth Lawrence of Fort Wayne.
Sister; Sue and Rick Deter of Albion.
Several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother; Thad Stringfellow.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 26, 2015 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM  at Hite Funeral Home, 403 South Main Street in Kendallville.

Funeral services will be Friday, March 27, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Sweet Church, 415 N. 300 E. in  Albion.

Officiating the funeral service will be Rev. Bret Frymier and Pastor Brent Wedding.

Burial will be at Sweet Cemetery in Albion.

Preferred memorials may be made to Sweet Church or Trinity United Methodist Church in Albion.
