Hubert Lee Kugler

Hubert Lee Kugler, age 77, passed away at his Clermont, Florida home on Monday, March 13, 2017. 

He was born to Wayne and Levanche (Bair) Kugler on May 13, 1939 in Kendallville, Indiana.

He graduated from Ashley High School in 1958 and served in the U. S. Army for three years.  

He worked for R. R. Donnelley (former Moore Business Forms) Angola, Indiana for 38 ½ years. 

On February 20, 1960 he married Eleanor Eshelman at the United Methodist Church in Helmer, Indiana who survives along with their daughter Kama Marie Kugler also of Clermont, Florida. 

Hubert enjoyed watching NASCAR.  In his early years, he raced stock cars at area tracks such as Angola, Avilla, New Paris, Byron, Ohio, Fort Wayne and Quincy, Michigan. 

He was a former member of Zion Lutheran Church, Corunna where he served as a trustee and assistant Sunday school superintendent.  He transferred his membership to Woodlands Lutheran Church, Montverde, Florida in 2012 when he and his wife moved to Clermont, Florida.

He also is noted for growing thousands of pine trees and loved watching the wildlife on their family farm.  

In addition to his wife and daughter, he is survived by brothers Robert and Francis (Nancy) Kugler of Hudson, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Donald, sister-in-law Shirley Kugler and a brother-in-law Hugh Eshelman.

A graveside service will take place at the Fairfield Center Cemetery on Friday, April 28, 2017 at 2:00 PM.

Memorials may be given to the Zion Lutheran Church for their African Mission Project.

Arrangements are being handled by Hite Funeral Home Kendallville, Indiana.
