JERRY LEE BOMAN, age 77, of rural Kendallville, died on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at his residence surrounded by his family.  Mr. Boman was born in Edgerton, Ohio on March 16, 1938 to the late Clide W. Boman and Ruth (Frager) Boman.  He graduated from Waterloo High School in 1957 and that same year he purchased the Sinclair Fuel Oil Company in Waterloo which later became Boman and Albright, Inc., and L&L Transportation, Inc., both based out of Waterloo.  Jerry and Bobby Albright co-owned, developed, and operated the businesses.  In 1979, they merged their companies with Domex, Inc., a propane wholesaler owned by Everett, Glen and Wayne Cook.  It was during that time that Jerry also started Hoosier Propane. They sold the businesses in 2000 to Inergy, Inc.  He married Marcella May (DeBaillie) Yates on December 7, 1983 at the First Presbyterian Church in Kendallville.  Jerry enjoyed hunting and pack trips out west.  He loved spending time with his family and friends, traveling the world, and watching NASCAR.  He was a member of the Trinity Church United Methodist in Kendallville and the Mizpah Shrine. 

Survivors include: 
Wife, Marcella Boman of Kendallville.
Son, Timothy and Rebecca Boman of rural Butler.
Son, Tadd and Ana Boman of Auburn.
Daughter, Tina Bassett of rural Butler.
Son, Troy and Dawn Boman of rural Butler.
Daughter, Tamara Converset of rural Corunna.
Daughter, Tina Yates of Fort Wayne.
Daughter, Teri Feller of Kendallville.
Eight grandchildren: Trevor Boman of rural Butler; Tanner Boman rural Butler; Mikayla Boman of Angola; Kyle Bassett of rural Butler; Jeremy Feller of Kendallville; Abby Feller of Kendallville; Gavin Yates and Kaylee Yates both of Fort Wayne.
Sister, Vereda Albright of Auburn.
Brother-in-law, George DeLong of Waterloo.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Robert Albright; sister, Nancy DeLong.

Visitation will be Friday from 2-8:00pm at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville.

Funeral services will be Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 11:00am at Hite Funeral Home.  There will be an hour of visitation before the funeral service

Officiating the funeral service will be Pastor Scott Pattison and Pastor Dan Barker.

Burial will be at Lake View Cemetery in Kendallville.

Preferred memorials may be made to Common Grace and Parkview Noble Foundation and Hospice.

Active casketbearers will be his grandsons Trevor Boman, Tanner Boman, Kyle Bassett, Jeremy Feller, and Gavin Yates; also Jared McGinn and Thomas Hitzman.

Honorary casketbearers will be Tom and Joann Burke, Bill and Darlene Tucker, and Ron and Connie Dicke.
