Patricia Ann VanAuken, age 74, died Sunday, April 23, 2017 at Parkview Noble Hospital in Kendallville.  Mrs. VanAuken was born in Wise, Virginia on November 28, 1942 to the late Grady and Edith (Terry) Holifield.  She graduated from Avilla High School in the spring of 1961 and soon after she married Wayne Edward VanAuken on June 23, 1961 in Kendallville, Indiana.  Pat worked as a nurse’s aide for many years.  She was employed at the old Lutheran Home and Shepherd of the Hill in Kendallville, Sacred Heart Home in Avilla, and Hickory Creek for a short time as well.  She was a member of Harbor of Love Baptist Church near Kendallville.

Survivors include:
Husband, Wayne VanAuken of Kendallville.
Daughter, Lisa Lieberenz of Kendallville.
Daughter, Stephanie Landez of Kendallville.  
Son, David VanAuken of Kendallville.
Son, Christopher and Rachel VanAuken of Auburn.
Son, Jamie and Kimberley VanAuken of Kendallville.
11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Brother, Grady and Vicky Holifield of Ashley.
Half sister, Nadine Kuhn of Columbia City.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lori Ann VanAuken in 1968 and son-in-law, Richard Lieberenz in 2014. 

Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 25, 2017 from 3:00 – 6:00 PM at Harbor of Love Baptist Church with services at 6:00 PM.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at 12:00 noon at the church with Rev. Charles Mosley officiating.
Burial will take place at Lake View Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
