David Smith

DAVID LYNN SMITH, age 57, of Kendallville, died suddenly on Monday, January 26, 2015 at home.  Mr. Smith was born in Kendallville, Indiana on December 3, 1957 to Wally Smith and Marjorie (Brady) Smith Caldwell.  He graduated from East Noble High School in 1976.  He married Evelyn B. Wade on November 11, 2011.  David was employed with Graphic Packaging in Kendallville for 26 years.  He loved fishing and golfing.  Lately, he became interested in and enjoyed restoring antiques in the basement of his home.

Survivors include: 
His wife, Evelyn Smith of Kendallville.
Daughter, Holly and Jimmy Johnson of Kendallville.
Three grandchildren: Mercedes Dusseau, Heaven Dusseau and Dominick Dusseau.
Mother, Marjorie Caldwell of LaGrange.
Brother, Dennis Smith of Kendallville.
Sister, Val and Robert Strunk of Kendallville.
Brother, Mark Caldwell of LaGrange.
Brother, Craig Caldwell of LaGrange.
Sister, Sheila Musser of Wolcottville.
Sister, Mary Ridenour of Wolcottville.
Sister, Rosemary Shaffer of Kendallville.
Sister, Rowena Hart of Minnesota.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wally Smith; his brother, Rory Smith; and his grandparents, Bill and Lena Smith and Kenneth and Carolyn Brady.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 31, 2015 from 3:00-7:00pm at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville.

Funeral services will be Sunday, February 1, 2015 at 2:30pm at Hite Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Mosley officiating.

Burial will be at Lake View Cemetery in Kendallville.

Preferred memorials may be made to donor's choice.
