Dear Dave and Penny, at this time I want to offer my condolences, to you both for the loss of your mother . I got to know her over the last few months from the nursing home, she was a good person. Ken and I won't be able to make it to the service. So we want to give our thoughts and prayers to the family and friends. She was a wonderful lady. Loved her dearly. She will be missed. Bye Great Aunt Avis.

What a special lady Avis was. I remember her being at church my entire life. She was a Bible scholar and a great teacher, but could also discuss current events, sports and politics. She and Ted made probably thousands of shut-in calls over the years. Every week at church she would talk with Kelly and Ben, and kept up on their activities. When they went to college and moved away, she still kept up on them. She will be greatly missed.
