Bobbie Lou DeRusha, age 84, of Lake of the Woods, was gloriously promoted to eternal life in heaven, embracing the Savior, engulfed in peace and comfort. She accepted Christ as her Savior as a young lady and endeavored to share the good news of salvation through her life. She was born December 4, 1931 in Martin, Tennessee to the late Clarence Edward Burke and Virginia Joy (Osteen) Burke. She graduated from Commerce High School in 1949 and was united in holy matrimony to J. Burton DeRusha on March 9, 1951 at the Temple Baptist Church in Detroit, Michigan. She was a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker and also was employed with J.L. Hudson, General Motors, and Comerica Bank. She was quick to laugh, ever ready to host a party, always busy serving others, a serious competitor, amazing gardener and cook, the wheel that kept her family going, and generous with her time. She was affectionate, sensitive to others, a prankster, and always looking to make memories. She was full of love for her Savior, her family, and those around her. She will be missed.
