Gregg, Nancy, and Erik,
Today I learned of Bret's passing. Although we had lost touch over the years (since our twenties), I believe that he and I would have no problem connecting again if it were possible. He was such an incredible person and I had so many good times with him in junior high and high school. He had such a free spirit. I hope your family has had time to heal from his loss and know that he is looking down on you all daily. Blessings to you.

Krista, For many years your dad semmed like "another son" as he spent many hours at our home with our son, Scott Shultz. We were at your parents wedding at BiXler Lake. Scott and I visited with your dad several years ago when he was staying in Angola. Kathy and I have many great memories of you, your mom and your dad. You have our VERY DEEPEST sympathy. My heart aches for you all and I also find myself shedding tears knowing that I will never see him again. I have known Bret since high school and lost touch over the years, but find myself smiling when I think of memories from the past. What a good hearted man he was.
There are no words to ease your pain at this time, but please know you all have my sympathy and prayers for strength.

My sincere condolences to the entire family and to Andrea. In this time of such a loss I can only remember the laughs and smiles that both Bret and Krista brought as we previously worked together. That is how I will always remember Bret. He always had a Hello and a big smile and any time I ran into him, I knew we would talk Football, Fishing and just a few days ago he told me of his companion Andrea. He never left any conversation without talking about Krista as his face would light up. Thats how I will always remember Bret, Happy and a Proud Father. No matter what, he always thought Positively. We can all learn from that as we go forward and know thats how he wants us to be. My Prayers go out to Krista and the rest of the family as well as Andrea. So very sorry for your loss.
