Most of my best middle school memories include times spent with Don, Cheryl, Cori & family. Don had a way of talking to you that made you felt important ...like he really cared and was listening for/to your response. I loved him and love all of you; and pray for peace as you say good bye.

Mr. Shaw was a kind and caring principal, he influenced so many of Kendallville's children. East Noble was lucky to have had him for so many years. Godspeed Mr. Shaw.

So sorry to hear of Don's passing. He obviously has a special place in my heart as he gave me my first job in education. (I believe it was so that I could help him push cars up Wayne Center's hill!) I have fond memories of Don as my first principal and, later, as a trusted colleague as I tried to follow in his huge footsteps at Wayne Center. I'm traveling for work at the moment, so I was not able to attend the visitation, but I hope to make the funeral tomorrow. God Bless...

Mr. Shaw was my principal at Wayne Center. He also was one of my teachers and he would also tease me. He was the principal for my mom----Annabel Rogers when she taught 2nd grade at Wayne Center.

Cheryl, I was so sorry to read of Mr Shaw's passing. I went to Wayne Center and I have remembered him my whole life because he was such a kind a patient person.
I was so young, but he left a lasting impression on me. I am so glad he had a wonderful person like you to share his life with. I hope you feel the support of your community at this time. Alanna
