Doris Virginia (Kinsey) Smead

Doris Virginia (Kinsey) Smead, age 90, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Parkview Randalia in Fort Wayne.  Mrs. Smead was born on January 26, 1927 in Harlan, Indiana to the late Dale M. and Lydia E. (Neusbaum) Kinsey.  She graduated from Harlan High School.  On December 30, 1944, she married Robert Dale Smead at Fort Benning, Georgia.  After 35 years of service and dedication, Doris retired from Parkview Hospital as a unit clerk at age 77.  Doris loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed camping.  
Survivors include:
Spouse, Robert Dale Smead of Fort Wayne.
Daughter, Sandra and Paul Anderson of Fort Wayne.
Daughter, Julie and Rev. David Koch of Wisconsin.
Son, Robert II and Beth Smead of Harlan.
7 grandchildren.
10 great-grandchildren.
Brother, Lawrence and Nancy Kinsey of Hicksville, Ohio.
Brother, Norman and Norene Kinsey of Spencerville.
Brother, Morris Kinsey of New Hampshire.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters; Margaret Miller and Harriet Voirol.

Funeral services will take place on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 12:00 PM at Woodburn Missionary Church, 5108 Bull Rapids Road, Woodburn, Indiana.  Visitation will be two hours prior to the service from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM.  
Burial will take place at Scipio Cemetery.
Officiating the funeral services will be Rev. David Koch.
