Greg "Sugar Bear" Rhodes

Greg "Sugar Bear" Rhodes, 62, of Fort Wayne, passed away June 1, 2016 at his residence.  Mr. Rhodes was born on July 5, 1953 in Fort Wayne to the late Stephen M. Rhodes and Eunice E. (Patterson) Rhodes.  He graduated from Junction City High School in Kansas and then continued his education at Indiana University.  Greg retired from the city of Fort Wayne. Greg was an Eagle Scout and was part of the Order of the Arrow. As a Boy Scout he became involved in ceremonial Indian dancing and danced behind the Iron Curtain. Greg was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed camping, canoeing, fishing and hiking. 

Surviving is his wife of 41 years, Linda (Gresham) Rhodes, son, Justin (Jennie) Rhodes, daughter, Rachel (Andrew) Moyer, grandsons, Jackson and Jace Moyer, and brother, Steve (Anni) Rhodes. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Diana Rhodes. 

Visitation will be from 10 am to 11 am followed by a memorial service at 11 am on Saturday June 4 th, 2016 at First Assembly of God at 1400 W. Washington Center Rd. in Fort Wayne.
