Jean Lucille (Mueller) Smith

Jean Lucille Smith, 90, died Friday, April 22, at St. Clare Commons in Perrysburg, Ohio.  She was born in Noble County on February 6, 1926, to Julius and Mabel (Hoffman) Mueller. She graduated from Kendallville High School.  On August 4, 1946, she married Edwin B. Smith in Kendallville.  Mrs. Smith was an avid gardener and served as volunteer Noble County memorials chairman for the American Heart Association from 1965 to 1998.  She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Kendallville.  

Survivors include two sons, Bernard Smith of Dayton and Douglas (Patricia) Smith of Perrysburg.
Three grandchildren: Shane Smith, Alicia (J.D.) Sitton and Alaina Smith.
Two great-grandchildren: Araya O’Brien and Annabel Smith.
Two great-great-granddaughters: Adelaide McCullough and Acacia Oliver.
A brother, Frederick (Evelyn) Miller of Kendallville. 
She was preceded in death by her husband and two sisters, Mae Evelyn Imes and Laura Woodcock.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 26th at Lake View Cemetery in Kendallville with Pastor Robert Shriner officiating.  

Preferred memorials to donors’ favorite charity.
