You have my sympathy on the loss of your loved one. Please allow God to comfort you through His promise to care for our dead loved ones at John 5:28,29. It's so stressful to deal with the death of a loved one because Death was never supposed to be a part of life so God didn't create us with the ability to be content with this loss but our loving creator, Jehovah God, promises to do away with death {Isaiah 25:8} and the one who causes death Satan{Hebrews 2:14} real soon through His Kingdom in the hands of His Son Christ Jesus so that His purpose for mankind can be realized which is to live on a paradise earth under perfect and peaceful conditions. {Genesis 1:27,28; Psalms 37:9-11,29}

Josh, its taken me a few days to wrap my head around you being gone and what exactly I could say. I know that you are in a much better place and no longer suffering but it still hurts those who care about you to have to go on without you. I will forever cherish the memories we made! You helped mold me into the person I am today and I learned so much from you. You were a great man who was dealt some very tough cards. My heart goes out to Your parents, Casey, and mostly to Jenna. They have fought this battle with you and need your strength to get through this. I wish so badly that I could be there today to support them and to celebrate your life! Thank you for allowing Kolt and I to be a part of your life even if it was only for a few years. You left an impression on so many lives and raised a wonderful daughter who undoubtedly has inherited your strength and compassion! RIP looking forward to when we meet again! ♡ Kass

I don't know what to say... I am beyond heartbroken knowing I can never hear your voice again. You were the person that I called when I was happy and the one I called when I was sad... I don't know what to do now. I'm so thankful you aren't in pain any more but I wish we could have finished our story. All I know how to do now is honor you in the only way that makes sense, and that's to ALWAYS be there for Jenna! Rest in Peace my Angel...

No words can describe what I am feeling right now. Is it all real? Did I just see & help you through it all for almost 2 weeks? It can't be? I'm so saddened in so many moments yet relieved to know that your no longer in pain nor suffering. When ever I am alone, I talk to you. I tell you that it's okay to come around & that I won't be scared. & I also tell you that you were & always the greatest, strongest, most amazing big brother that any girl could have! For that I am the luckiest girl ever! The battles you have fought, no marine could hold a candle to. The things you've survived, not even Batman himself could have beat!! Your truly the S in strength & C in courageous! Say hello to those other awesome people up there for me. I miss them dearly! You know who they are. I am so sorry for all the horrible bratty crap I did to you when we were kids. I probably deserved to get shot by your bb gun. Do you remember that time you picked dad's fire dept radio up & spoke into it? Then the lady responded? Yea, that was great. Such great laughs & so so so many memories! Well, I could just keep writing but the rest I will leave for when we see each other again. I love & miss you so much! Rest in painless peace my brother!

Mom (a.k.a. Grandma) and I are so very deeply sorry for your loss and the amount of suffering you all have endured, especially Josh. There simply are no words to explain why he suffered so greatly, and for so long. We were so honored and blessed to experience such courage and grace by Josh in the midst of his horrific suffering. I met you a couple of years ago at the Fire House when you certified me for CPR/AED for my teaching license. We chatted about our families and you told me about Josh. I was so impressed with the approach you described that he took to doing as much as he could. I was also so very impressed with your approach to ensuring that was possible for him.
I send my sincere condolences.
With respect and prayers for you and your family,
Claire

Josh we have struggled together in all your trials of life. No one knows more than us how you have suffered and tried to be as normal as a man could be with a daughter as special as the one you have given us. Your health has always gotten in the way of so many things, but you always seemed to move on and continue to work hard at surviving. Many of us take advantage of things and of people around us. You always remained in the shadows. Willing to help any poor soul that came along. Like Jenna always would say, Grandma, look what dad has drug in now ! Opening his doors to anyone needing help. You will be missed by us and so many others who's hearts you have touched. Your father and I love you so very much.
