JUDY KAY BURGI, age 66, of Kendallville, died on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at home.  Mrs. Burgi was born in Kendallville, Indiana on July 13, 1949 to Robert Edwin Strunk and Betty (Porter) Humes. She married John David  Burgi on January 24, 2004 in Kendallville and was Administrative Specialist at the Cook Nuclear Plant in Bridgeman, Michigan.  She also was employed with RediMed in Fort Wayne.  Judy was a member of the First Christian Church in Kendallville and she loved studying her Bible and daily devotions.  Judy was an avid reader of Christian and Amish fiction as well as a book reviewer and friend to the authors.

Survivors include: 
Her husband, John Burgi of Kendallville.
Son, Leon and Elizabeth Hartwig of Portland, Oregon.
Daughter, Nikki and Kurt Muenchow of Melbourne, Florida.
Daughter, Mary Cangro of Zephyrhills, Florida. 
Daughter, Nicole Hart of Auburn.
Three grandchildren: Abigail and Sawyer Muenchow and Anastazia Cangro.
Father, Robert and Lois Strunk of Avilla.
Sister, Carolyn Jefferson of Kendallville.
Brother, Robert and Valerie Strunk, Jr. of Kendallville.. 
Half sister, Lori and Tim Boyd of Roachdale, Indiana.
Half brother, Kent Strunk of Wilton Manors, Florida.
Step brother, Randy and Janet Smith of LaGrange.
She was preceded in death by mother, Betty Humes, died January 2012.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Sunday, April 17, 2016 at at 4:00 pm First Christian Church in Kendallville.  

Visitation will take place from 2:00 – 4:00 pm prior to the service.  

Officiating the memorial service will be Pastor Thomas Clothier.  

Memorial donations may be made to First Christian Church.
