LORENA MULLINS, age 82, of Stroh, passed on to her heavenly home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Laurels of Dekalb in Butler.  Mrs. Mullins was born in Clear Creek, Kentucky in Knott County on February 24, 1933 to the late Samuel and Ellen (Fuller) Ritchie.  She graduated from Hindman High School and she married Lewis "Duke" Ed  Mullins on February 20, 1948 in Clear Creek, Kentucky.  She was baptized in 1968. Lorena was a homemaker and she attended the Stroh Church of God where she taught Sunday school for many years.  She enjoyed teaching children and would always try to have a birthday party for each class member and bake them a birthday cake.  Lorena also enjoyed bowling and along with her daughter, Karen, enjoyed sponsoring  and bowling on Dukes Auto Sales bowling team for many years.

Survivors include: 
Her husband of 67 years, Duke Mullins of Stroh.
Daughter, Sharon and Ron Tuffley of Stroh.
Daughter, Karen and David Smith of Stroh.

Nephews, Carl Combs of South Milford and Corbet Junior "Red" Ritchie of Lexington, Kentucky and niece, Ruby Williams of Lexington, Kentucky.

She was the last remaining sibling of ten children: brothers; Corbett Ritchie, Monroe Ritchie, Mart Ritchie, Hubert Ritchie, and Willard Ritchie and sisters; Oshia Franis, Doshia Combs, Sophia Ritchie, and Ora Maggard.

Visitation will be Monday, August 31, 2015 from 3:00-8:00pm at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at 12:00 noon at the Independent Baptist Church in South Milford.

Officiating the funeral service will be Rev. Willie Collins and Rev. David Bolen.

Burial will be at Woodruff Cemetery, LaGrange County.

Preferred memorials may be made to Stroh Church of God, Calvary United Baptist Church, Stroh or Independent Baptist Church, South Milford.
