ORA WICKER, age 70, formerly of Kendallville and recently of Scottsboro, Alabama, died on Sunday, February 15, 2015 at her home in Scottsboro.  Mrs. Wicker was born in Minnie, Kentucky on June 13, 1944 to the late Arnold and Velvia Mae (Younce) Salisbury.  She married Ishmel Wicker on July 27, 1968 in Clintwood, Virginia.  She was employed with HyMatic Manufacturing in Kendallville for more than 36 years.  She was the quality control manager before retiring in June of 2002.  Ora was a member of the Harbor Of Love Baptist Church near Kendallville.  She loved her church family and attending all  the church activities.  She loved cooking for people, arts and crafts, and sewing.  She enjoyed being with people, going to yard sales and flea markets.  She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren especially at Christmastime.  She also enjoyed golfing, bowling, shuffleboard, gardening and canning, yard work and fishing. 

Survivors include: 
Husband, Ishmel Wicker of Scottsboro, Alabama.
Daughter, Teresa and Ed Boyd of Spotsylvania, Virginia.
Daughter, Shelvia Wicker-Godsey and Otis Godsey of Kendallville.
Daughter, Janet Wicker of Auburn
10 grandchildren: Tiffany Reznick, Seth Boyd, Samantha Napier, Jessica Wallen, Meagan Godsey-Krueckeberg, Nathan Godsey, EmmaLeigh Godsey, Gerald Godsey, Sean Godsey, Dorion Miller. 
11 great grandchildren: Addison Reznick, Tyler Boyd, Mason Boyd, Allisin Arnold, Ace Napier, Brayden Napier, Breonna Napier, Bryson Rowe, Landen Krueckeberg, Layla Krueckeberg, and Drake Godsey. 
Sister, Shelvia Short of Lisbon.
Brother, Hoie "Bud" and Cosbie Salisbury of Avilla.
Brother, Gordon and Allene Salisbury of Lisbon.
Sister, Pelinnia and Allen Dirrim of Scottsboro, Alabama.
Sister, Flora and Richard "Rick" Borger of Kendallville.
Brother, Dean Salisbury of Huntsville, Alabama.

She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Shana Marie Godsey;  brothers, Raymond Salisbury, Paul "Pete" Salisbury; sister, Vernice McDaniels and an infant sister, Clara Salisbury.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 18, 2015 anytime after 4:00pm at Harbor Of Love Baptist Church near Kendallville.  There will be an evening service at 7:00pm.

Funeral services will be Thursday, February 19, 2015 at 11:00am at Harbor Of Love Baptist Church.

Officiating the funeral service will be Rev. Charles Mosley, Rev. Billy Smith, and Rev. Phil Lucas.

Burial will be at Orange Cemetery near Rome City.

Preferred memorials may be made to Kendallville Christmas Bureau.

Casketbearers will be Seth Boyd, Ray McDaniels, Dean Salisbury, Brandon Napier, Matt Krueckeberg, and Mike Triplett.
