I am so sorry to hear about Ricks passing he kept me walking the straight line in school then when he had my kids in school we laughed about it. It was generation of laughter passed down from my mom to me he is a person who will be greatly missed yet his lessons go on forever RIP MR Clausen

The portion of my youth I spent in the company of the Claussen family always evokes the fondest memories. My deepest sympathy to Karen, Dawn, Amy, and one of my best childhood friends Seth. Rick was a good man.

Sorry I cannot share in person, your celebration of Ricks life. He meant a good deal to me and my family as a very important presence in Darrins life. I was honored to connect with him and enjoy the times that my boys and his boy and Rick shared together up north. I have many fond memories of Rick, including at South Milford Church of Christ, playing Young Farmer basketball, and having long discussions about farming and education, among other things. . As I recall, he had an awesome set-shot. . He had great love for his family, his church and his community. He will be greatly missed.

Mr. Claussen had a significant impact on me as a student at Rome City Middle school over 2 and 1/2 decades ago. I remember him today with fondness. I will always Remember his cheerful classroom singing and his contagious smile. A true gem has been added to our makers kingdom. J.S. Tipton

I always remember Rickie's laugh. Then there is the stories of Rickie and Larry coming home from kindergarten with gingerbread men from their teacher, Rickie's made it home in one piece, Larry's didn't. A good man will be missed, but his memory will go on.

My condolences to Mr Claussen's family. He taught at least one of our sons at Rome City School and I remember how inspiring and hopeful he made me at parent teacher conferences. He was right when he told me my son Chris would make a fine man! He was a good teacher. God bless all of you!
