ROBERT WILLIAM BRUCE, age 57, of Fort Wayne died on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at St. Joseph Hospital in Fort Wayne.

Mr. Bruce was born in Anderson on September 5, 1957 to John Robert Bruce and Marcia Christine (Mueller) Bruce.

He graduated from East Noble High School in Kendallville in 1976.           

Mr. Bruce worked as the assistant manager for the Salvation Army in Fort Wayne. 

He enjoyed watching NASCAR and was a huge Tony Stewart fan.  He was an outsanding high school athlete and liked sports of all kinds.   He especially liked the Chicago Cubs and Bears, and anything Notre Dame.  Mr. Bruce enjoyed keeping track of the weather and watching the sky.  More than anything he loved his grandkids and enjoyed being with them! 

Survivors include:

Daughter; Ann Marie and Chris Carpenter of Kendallville.
Son; Joseph "Rob" Bruce of Ashley.
Daughter; Elizabeth "Libby" Bruce and Chad Kennedy of Auburn.
Four grandchildren; Shawn, A.J., Delaney and Peyton.
Mother of his children; Leeann and Jeff Atkinson of Kendallville.
Three brothers and three sisters; Tina Bherns, Mike Bruce, Tim Bruce, Laura Spadoni, Jeana Dowd and Joel Bruce.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother; Patrick Bruce.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 30, 2015 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home, 403 South Main Street in Kendallville.

A memorial service will be Thursday, July 30, 2015 at 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
