Robert L Throckmorton

Robert L. Throckmorton, age 69, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.  Mr. Throckmorton was born on May 10, 1947 in Kansas City, Missouri, to the late Robert Throckmorton and Constance (Dye) Culpepper.  He graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School and then continued his education in Business College in Kansas City where he earned a degree.  On February 10, 1996, he married Kathy (Draper) Ward at the Church of the Nazarene in North Manchester, Indiana.  He worked for General Motors in Fort Wayne as a Laborer before retiring on September 26, 2006.  Robert was a member on Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Fort Wayne.  He was a gun enthusiast and loved to go shooting at the Roush Lake Shooting Range.  Robert was an avid "recycler" and enjoyed helping keep the earth a clean and safe place.  His greatest passion was spending time with his grandkids, watching the boy’s sporting events and playing games with the girls. 

Survivors include:
Spouse, Kathy Throckmorton of Fort Wayne.
Step-son, Christopher and Kristie Miller of North Manchester.
Step-daughter, Melissa and Gabriel Cassias of Fort Wayne.
Daughter, Tina Throckmorton and Jerry Kahn of Houston, Texas.
7 Grandchildren
Sister, Sheri and John Kalich of Crystal Lake, Illinois. 
 
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at 11:00am with calling one-hour prior at 10:00am at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 10700 Aboite Center Road, Fort Wayne, 46804. 
Burial will take place at Covington Memorial Garden.
Officiating the services is Father Matt Soberalski.
Memorial donations may be directed to Mathew 25 The Franciscan Center and or Visiting Nurse Hospice.
