Ruth G. (Forker) Kesler

RUTH G. KESLER, age 95, of Avilla died on Sunday, May 17, 2015 at Parkview Noble Hospital in Kendallville. 

Mrs. Kesler was born in Kendallville on September 29, 1919 to Johnnie and Edith (Glosser) Forker. 

She married Glenn W. “Junior” Kesler on February 3, 1943 in Angola.  He preceded her in death on April 10, 2004.

Mrs. Kesler was a homemaker as well has helping her husband on the family farm in rural Kendallville. 

She loved playing bingo at Sacred Heart Home where she lived.  She also liked visits from her family and friends.  She was a former member of the Kendallville American Legion Post 86 Ladies Auxillary and volunteered her time at the Bargin Shop in Kendallville. 

Survivors include:

Sister-in-law; Irene Forker of Avilla.
Several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Junior Kesler, two brothers; Ralph Forker and Robert Forker, sister-in-law; Donnabelle Forker and nephew; Larry “Buzz” Forker. 

Visitation will be held Friday, May 22, 2015 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Hite Funeral Home, 403 South Main Street in Kendallville.

A graveside funeral service will be held Friday, May 22, 2015 at 2:30 PM at Orange Cemetery in Rome City. 

Officiating the funeral service will be Tom Novy. 

Burial will be at Orange Cemetery in Rome City. 

Preferred memorials may be made to Presence Sacred Heart Home activities.
