TILDA JEAN SELLS, age 74, of Kendallville, died on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at her daughter’s home near Avilla.  Mrs. Sells was born in Pippa Passes, Kentucky on July 22, 1940 to the late Earnest Slone and Matilda B. (Smith) Slone.  She worked at Essex Wire in Kendallville for 30 years.  She was a member of the Mt. Calvary United Baptist Church in Stroh.  Tilda enjoyed spending time with her family and grandkids, going to church, and working on puzzles.  She loved going on special week long trips with her four sisters each year.

Survivors include: 
Daughter, Kimberly and Russell Schwarz of Avilla.
Son, Jim Sells and Angel Lovins of Rogers, Kentucky.
Three grandchildren: Chelsea and Blake Williams of Fort Wayne; Jackson Schwarz of Avilla; and Kole Schwarz of Avilla.
One great grandson, Grayson Williams.
Sister, Betty and Johny Amburgey of Hindman, Kentucky.
Sister, Thelma and Graden Slone of Lancaster, Kentucky.
Sister, Earnestine Slone of Garner, Kentucky.
Brother, Ted and Beulah Slone of Kendallville.
Brother, Andrew and Rachel Slone of Kendallville.
Many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Arminda Slone and Christine Gayheart and two brothers, Harold Slone and Jimmy Slone.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 26, 2015 from after 3:00pm and all day Wednesday at Mt. Calvary United Baptist Church in Stroh.  Evening services both nights at 7:00pm.

Funeral services will be Thursday, May 28, 2015 at 11:00am at Mt. Calvary United Baptist Church.

Officiating the funeral service will be Rev. Willie Collins.

Burial will be at Wright Cemetery near Stroh.
