Walker Tackett

WALKER J. TACKETT, age 40, recently of Richmond, Virginia and formerly of Kendallville, Indiana, died on Sunday, June 7, 2015 at the Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center, Richmond, Virginia from injuries resulting from an accident at his workplace.  Mr. Tackett was born in Prestonsburg, Kentucky on September 1, 1974 to Walker and Lynda Jo (Miller) Tackett.  He married Tracy Ann White Tackett on December 30, 2011 and was employed with KRS Holdings and Great Richmond Rentals, Richmond, Virginia.  Walker loved music, especially “The Grateful Dead” and he loved playing his guitar.  He also loved the outdoors and spending time with his family.  He attended the Independent Baptist Church in South Milford.

His wife, Tracy Tackett of Richmond, Virginia.
Son, Randy Tackett of Columbus, Ohio.
Stepson, Justis White of Kendallville.
Stepson, Zaden Streb of Kendallville.
God son, Trey Daves of Richmond, Virginia.
Father and step mother, Walker and Willa Tackett of Kendallville.
Sister, Patty VanHoose of Paintsville, Kentucky.
Sister, Liz and Woody Mason of Rome City.
Brother, Emmons Tackett of Richmond, Virginia.
Nephew, Walker Wyatt Tackett of Richmond.
Mother-in-law, Estrella White and David Greer of Texas City, Texas.
Father-in-law, Myles White of Kendallville.
Sister-in-law, Krystal and Shelton Bolen of Kendallville.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lynda Jo Tackett, who preceded him in death in 2008;  his brothers, Charles Tackett in 2002; James Tackett in 2010; and Rory Smith in 2011;  and his sister, Anna Pack in 2014.

Visitation is Friday, June 12, 2015 from 10:00am-8:00pm at Independent Baptist Church on State Road 3 in South Milford. 

Funeral services will be Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 11:00am at Independent Baptist Church.

Officiating the funeral service will be Rev. Earl  Bolen.

Burial will be at Corunna Cemetery.
